We got there early and there was already a steady stream of people coming in. And it just never stopped–the crowd just got heavier as the evening wore on.

Lots of people brought their entire family! And we benefited from the fact that it was a bizarrely warm day.

Early on most folks just hung out and watched the big TVs!

There were plenty of people with American flags and Obama t-shirts and other paraphernalia. The energy of the crowd just grew more euphoric as the evening wore on. Everyone would cheer loudly and boo or laugh, depending on the news from the jumbo TVs.

Overall, I was surprised by the incredible excitement and joy that most people seemed to feel. People were truly excited to be there–even if they were just sort of watching TV together. We should do this every election year!
